    Squeak ??

Hi everyone, i have a 2011 3.0 patrol. Have had for a year now but am on first god trip with it. Am from bunbury and have travelled to exmouth, have done quite a bit of 4wding through sand, red bulldust etc. Have only just started getting an almost squeaking sound. Sounds like coming from fan belt area. Have checked fan belt and tension feels ok and have dumped 2 buckets full of fresh water on fan region, thinking maybe bulldust might controbute to noise. The noise took longer to appear but does go away when engine is warm. Any ideas please? Hoping not bad. Thanks

x 2. Welcome to the forum.
It sounds like the belt tensioner. Common to play up after some dirt or water crossings on the Zd30 engines.

Cheap enough to replace if it is the tensioner bearing.
    or buy bearing NTN_WC 87503.
I would change the belt at the same time

Dont know which thread youre using but I think it may be your ERG pipe
common for them to split and squeal when cold.
Can the Mods sort these two threads out please
