    Supplementary reverse / work lights

Howdy. My GU3 has privacy tints on the rear windows which means that rearward visibility is compromised.

Yes, I could scrape the black stuff off the windows but I'd like to supplement the reversing lights (mainly) for getting in the driveway.

Sorry that's it's not for some intergalactic back country expedition. But we often forget that most of our trucks just for the mundane...

Trying not to drill the body I expect that a relativelY small led would be best 16w or so?

Happy to inlet into the bumper

Maybe you've done your own and could give me an idea.

I do have permenact live to a secondary fuse box behind the radio, so even if run a wire from there via a small switch that would be fine also.

There doesn't seem to be a way of doing both so I'm figuring a line switch and fuse to a relay that gets triggered by the reversing light coming on would be the cleanestd

    Let me know your thoughts....

    Richie

If it is mainly for 'getting in the driveway' and will be bumper mounted just pick up the power from behind the existing reversing light.
That wire is easily accessible and the factory wiring will easily handle the extra current and you don't have to worry about fuses, relays, switches etc

I do a mount which bolts to the spare wheel bolts so the light is above the spare. Gives a good spread.
I'm in the vendors section under westys accessories

I have a very dark tint and all I did was retro fit some 120 smd globes x 4 behind the OE tail light lens.
never had a problem, great it the bush and at home.

I asked this question in another thread and didnt get a response so will try here "Can you buy just the loom, globe holders and globes to fit into the existing blank rear body lights in the GU? I have had a look on ebay and patrolapart but can only find them as a package with lenses"
I too want more reversing light and more tail lights never hurt. And i hate looking at those redundant empty rear body lenses, dont like things with no purpose.
