I could make the rears shiny, but they'd only be shiny for a day or 2.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Hey all, have been pretty lazy with this thread, but haven't stopped working on the patrol. Thanks to a post from Jonathan ages ago, I played with my tps to adjust my fuel mixture and have got the patrol running perfect! Cheers Jonathan.
The shocks i installed two years ago were making a bloody awful noise, so got them replaced under warranty. Was advised that they do need bleeding before installation, so I did this. Hopefully this stops them from becoming noisy again.
The rear brakes that I rebuilt started leaking. Wasn't sure if it was the aftermarket seal kit I used or the fact that the calippers should probably have been chucked in the bin originally, so I bought a new set.
All painted up, installed, bled and working perfectly.
I started replacing a few engine components with genuine Nissan parts, such as fan belts and ignition components. Thanks to partsouq.com, I only paid $8 for a fan belt for example, and I'm surprised at how much better they perform compared to the aftermarket stuff. The belts never squeeled, but they would make a strange noise. All good now.
I managed to sort out my drivers door rattle by adjusting the door hinges. Was very happy with this result, but realised I still had a strange noise when accelerating or braking. Thanks to Facebook, They pointed me towards the A pillar base where from factory, the spot welds they put on are insignificant and tend to break. So I cleaned it all up, riveted it all together with steel rivets and sealed it all up. Now it is solid as a rock. This can be felt from within the cab. Was a strange creeking noise that used to bug me a lot. But all good now.

i found cracks where the 'floor' meets the fire wall. will have to check this spot too. thanks
if its worth doin its worth over doin
Garett, I couldn't physically see anything wrong. The only sign I had that the two panels were sliding against each other was a bit of corrosion between the two panels. I treated this by dripping metal resdy(phosphoric acid) down the seems and letting it work it's Magic. Then sealed it by dripping penetrol down the seems after. This stuff claims to soak into the metal and seal it completely.
Driving to work this morning was a pleasure. I am winning the annoying rattles and squeezs battle.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Andrew you need to come and sort the 5 million rattles my car makes.... I do not hear them until someone else gets in my car and says " Doesn't that noise annoy you " then I go nuts as all I hear is that f$#king noise from then on !!!!!
