Should I have a DP Chip installed.

Just seeking a little advice e from more experienced Patrol owners. I have a brand new 3lt CRD Patrol and I'm wondering should I have a DP Chip installed now or wait till after the three year warranty expires. Are they all that they are cracked up to be?

    Regards to all.
    Wonder.

A DP chip will not void your warranty.
If towing I would recommend fitting one, raises your power from 118kw to around 140 kw I think
Mine sits on 5 out of 10 on their scale, as I found it just blew black smoke on 9 and 10.
Its a set and forget item if worried about warranty dis-connect it for your service
Im very happy with the chip even though they are grossly over priced.

So if I get one installed I'll have to get it set to about 5 should I? I don't want to be blowing black smoke.

5 gave me a bit extra for towing my light camper trailer.
Being a CRD you can get your ECU re-mapped for about $1500
again IMO totally over priced but great results.
First I'd be fitting up a boost and egt gauge so you know what the motor is doing

Id be putting a bigger pipe in before a chip. You will get more out of a bigger pipe than a chip.
