    GU Manual Locking Hub Question

So ive decide to replace my annoying auto locking hubs with a set of factory manual ones from a gu ute. When they where taken off the hub, all came off fine and looks good however my manual shows that they should have a bush and spacer in the wheel hub its self (egg ring looking things) however this didnt have them. The ute appeared to be a std mine spec gu. I have looked online and have seen some articles mention them and in another manual they weren't shown.

Should a gu have these or are they from an early model or a retro fitted item??

Nissan show them as a part on their computer system.

    Cheers

What do you find "annoying" about the auto locking hubs?? Mine seem to have worked fine when I needed them.

Yes you will need them. They would have been left in the other car. You an buy them from Patrolapart or from the seller of the manual hubs.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I find it annoying that they try and lock them selves on while driving and the biggest thing is i want to be able to put it in low without 4wd for backing my car trailer, camping trailer and boat around in tight spots.

MudRunner, the reason i ask is that the car didn't have them in it so i kinda started worrying. I also don't want to fit parts that might be damaged coz some fool left the bits out.
