    question about vdo boost gauge.

Hi guys/gals need a bit of insight on this one.

I have a vdo boost gauge and installation was easy enough but are they meant to emit a leaking air noise that gets stronger with more boost or do i have to tighten the boost line fitting more?

    Thanks for any info/help.

I would suggest that it should not be sucking any air. Could be wrong though.

If it has a brass olive you place on the tubing before the nut ,
then you will need to nip it up so it squashes slightly

They also have a small nyon ‘restrictor’ to fit inside the tube - part no 10027 - see pic. Not sure if it would cause the issue you have if missing, but does apparently stop the needle from being too ‘jumpy’.

Thanks guys for the help. Cuppa the nylon restrictor was the part I needed to install, only took a while to find where it was hiding.
