I believe I can get better value for money by changing tyres/rims.

To change a tube costs about $60-70, because of the split rims. If you don't know what you're doing with split rims, they can kill you if you don't change them properly.

Plus, I'll be pushing the limit with tread depth to travel from home-Perth-play-home.

I really wanted to do this trip because my roster finally lines up. lol.
