NetFlix works fine here .... hehehe
And guess what, now Amazon, Hulu, etc, etc, etc are joining in on the party. Soon there will be as many streaming sources as cable channels ....

It is very nice to watch no commercial TV but I have very little time with it being springtime in the vineyard farm. One really rainy day I got soaked and got caught up on House of Cards, been able to watch a couple "Orange..." but fall asleep too easily.

Mate, I'm in Oregon at the moment (Orygun) , in a very little village (Oakland) of 800 folks but there are a couple competitors going at each other. At the vineyard we struggle to get 3Mbps wireless, there is no ADSL 6 miles (10K) out of town.

The "hehehe" was a few fellow forum members know I'm overseas at the moment, but 35 days and counting down.

So what is the difference when back in the old days (20 years) you had a calling card and would dial a local number to access an overseas service to make calls to the host country or other country's? (VPN->Server->Service (USA Netflix) ? You were using the local telephone provider to dial into the access line.

The difference is when you sign up for a net flix account the user agreement states that you will not do that. So you are in breach of your user licence agreement

There is little difference between the Aussie and US Netflix (I VPN'd to the US to get it before the AU one became available). I still VPN to other countries for various program options but Netflix Oz is the way to go for the price IMHO.

Just read an article about iinet blaming telstra for the slow down of their service....... suppose it has nothing to do with the amount of iinet customers making use of unmetered streaming

    And now it'll become interesting.
With Telstra owning most (if not all) of the cable it'll interesting to see if they do pressure the others for more cash, or slash speeds.
