04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
I rate it highly, its great to use because its fool proof but apart from the normal bench stone its all I have really used. I first got the 3 stone kit but the 5 stone with the ultra fine is what I use constantly, actually I touch up my knifes every time I use them so they're razor sharp every time lol. The best big IMHO is the fact you don't take off alot of steel like the pull through sharpeners which usually wreck the edge by making it jagged.
When we go for a shot there's usually an intermission during the night where everyone wants to touch up their knifes haha

Id like to try a japanese whet stones but a bit too pricey for me ,
I have some Arkansas stone I use with great results

Some the Arkansas stones are really fine, I been meaning to add a Super sapphire stone to my kit just to get then that little bit more polished/sharper. The best part of the Lansky is the fact the rod system helps you stay aligned and although a round edge is stronger the flat edge is easy to maintain and anyone can touch it up and keep your angle
I brought a small JADE sharpening stone that is awesome to just finish up.
but like OD I have a Strop which removes the very fine burr on the edge and polishes it a tad

How would they go with a curved knife?

Ill stick to the diamond wand.
10 points to the first person to tell me what the above knife is for.
Is that like a farriers blade or wood carving spoon knife?
TBH I have never tried on a blade with a curve like that, would have to make sure that you are more careful not to over sharpen and get flat spots in the blade.
