Low speed/stopping/turning -bad vibration GQ y60

I've had a few dramas with massive vibration going through the GQ, always at low speed, rolling to a stop, or turning. I noticed the handbrake cable went slack when the handbrake was only halfway down, and found the shoes had dug themselves a groove in the backing plate, sorted that by sanding the groves smooth with 360 grit, 600 then 1000, greased them up and then filed 30 degree angles on the brake shoe backings, 3 point on each of them that had dug their way into the backing plate. That only stopped half the problem.

The other vibration I had was huge, when I rolled to a stop or cornered slowly, the car shuddered and shook the windows and made a lovely grrroooiiinnnkkkk sound, (im big on sound effects) it was like the back half had dropped off and hit the road. I do a few water crossings and haven't checked the lsd for a while, drained it today and the oil was grey. So much for the bloody breathers. Whacked in some Penrite 80/90 lemon sip today and all smooth again.

I had a suzuki sierra (is that a dirty word here?) before the patrol and it filled both diffs full with water on every crossing, so I ran garden hose from the breathers to the air intake for safe keeping, never got another drop in them after that. I don't trust the patrol diff breather lines now, I crossed the bidgee at anglers reach with about 80cm of water in fairly strong flow, was a bit dodgy and felt the car shift halfway across, but just found today that the freakin diff breathers on the patrol are under the body! What use is that unless you only drive on wet highways. Big thumpin 4wd and im back to diy garden hose jobs to make a proper system for it.

Yea unfortunately nissan got a few things right but a few things way wrong. Diff breathers being one of the wrong.

While your running new breathers tap into the transfer case, gear box and bell housing (all run around the top of the gearbox) and take them up aswell.

I have used rubber hose to extend all of the breathers to the top of the passenger side fire wall. Then used a couple of eL cheapo in-line fuel filters. I have mounted them vertically to prevent any spray from entering them when washing under the bonnet. I also joined them together in the hope that it will also reduce suction. I will eventually replace the rubber section from the rear diff to the chassis with reinforced tubing.

My advice is: not to follow my advice.

For diff breathers I source an air manifold , sintered brass filters and some
teflon push in fitting, keep away from the exhaust and allow full drop of
    suspension

OOI what tyres are you running?????
