Just heard that DSE are doing planned burns in the Erica area, I need to find out more info guys but this might be a deal breaker?

We should be fine.
There are burns planned "within 10 days" close by but we will have to monitor for sure.

Should be fine, there burning everywhere ATM, we'll just manage it if we have to. Most of the areas we will be in got burnt in the Aberfelfy fires a few years ago so there won't be any fuel reduction burns going on in there yet. Might just be smokey in the area tho.

I am officially excited. Doesn't look like the new toy will make it and I have a bit of work to do to Katrol, but we'll hopefully be getting away by lunch time. Looks like the fire truck might get a run.

Yeah their burns are planned for Mt Useful. As long as we keep it in mind we should be fine.

I will be leaving later than I would have liked... I have to pick up the kids at 1pm and drop them off at Mag's work and from there I am off.... so I should be leaving the Northern suburbs by 1.30pm.

As it happens i need to have a look at a few sites on the Aberfelfy River for a quote for some work, so will be able to justify this and had up a little early! ! Probably head up and allow bout half a day to look around at a few sites, so should be able to get up there mid day ish hopefully.

Looking forward to it now, thinking we should check out deep ck tracks earlyish in the day, maybe a few warm up tracks first. Can't wait!! . . The weather is looking pretty reasonable at this stage. . .
