Unfortunately I have not been out Lithgow way for ages Kris, but there is nothing in the lower mountains hasn't been for years everything here has been gated off. I don't believe a great deal has been closed out there, Think the last time I was out at zig zag was October 2011 when I was rebuilding my gearbox and was driving my uncle's patrol, so stuck to the easy tracks.
I have been told NP has stopped all vehicle access 2 Cox's River camping ground and the only way to camp there now is by foot Such a shame as it is a beautiful spot to camp
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time

How'd you go, find any good ones? Are you referring to ripley when you say ipswich?
Mate came round with his 05 Prado - just took my Patrol out with the kids for a bit of a cruise out Ripley way.....few tracks here and there, kids saw some kangaroos/cows/horse and a dead eel so they were happy lol. Just had google maps on (earth view) to try and follow some property fence lines - few hours well spent

That's a customline trailer but they have totally changed the design of them now . It's running 33s as well and has more clearance then the gu lol.
It's bad enough that there locking the gates but to make it so difficult to open private property to visit and 4wd on its just getting ridiculous. Qld the nanny state
