thanks mate cant afford bottoms yet haha
I used to run 16x7 0 offset with 255x85x16 and didnt have any problems with rubbing,PS i still have 5 16x7 0 offset white sunnies for sale pm me if you would be interested , Ken.
I am running 255x85 on GQ TI with 2" lift had not realised they were such an unusual size, no complaints on how they perform but they came with the vehicle so no chance yo compare. Apart from availability, any performance advantage with 285's ?
id love to see a picture if there on ti rims.does the tyre look to skinny for the rim or does it look right .
I run 255/85R16 BFG KM2's on my GQ, on 16x7 -11mm steel wheels. With no flares the tyres protrude approx 30-40mm. No rubbing at all. 2" lift.
Love the tyres, but am looking to change rim offset to get them back in the guards..
I have no worries about them being an 'odd' size.
Hope that helps!
warehouseno27 my bfg km2 255 85 16 has arrived and im tossing up what rims to put on ,I thought 16 x7 minus 11 would be close to 16x8 pos 0.my options are ti 16x8 pos 10...enkie 16x8 pos 0....or buy new 16 x7 steelies .. I would like some help deciding if anyone could..should I just see how they look on my enkie pos 0 16x8
thanks ken but your a bit far away
ive got them on factory ti rims pos 10and they are fantastic no scraping that I know of
Apologies for the late reply! Have you put them on any rims yet?
For reference, I have put one of my 255/85R16's on a Nissan split rim (16x5.5 +15mm offset) and they sit perfectly inline with the GQ guards (note, no flares). No rubbing when turning, fits perfectly on rear door. Have not tested it under suspension compression though. Overall tyre width has decreased because of the 5.5" rim width, which has helped it stay within the guard. Hope that helps someone in the future!
