I had this issue when my 2006 Gu 3.0 was relatively new. My mechanic tried then quit because he was worried about breaking an expensive part. He sent me to the Nissan dealer and they got it off--not sure how, but since then it seems to be a non issue. May be cheap insurance to have the dealer do it. :-((
