Dawes and needle valves plus 3" exhaust

I've got a 2010 GU patrol and I've had it since new, always had heaps of torque but no power.

I was recommended to take it to United Fuel Injections in Perth and I highly recommended anyone in WA to go there without delay.

These guys know what they are doing (and I really don't).

I'm always saying why replace something if it's not broken or worn out, the muddies went on after the first set were low on tread, the lift kit went in after the country we travelled in started jumping up at our undercarriage, the heavy duty clutch went in after the DM flywheel shat itself, you get the picture.

The Dawes and needle valves were there to lower the temps so that was fine, but there was nothing wrong with my exhaust, or so I thought.

Why would nissan put in a part which serves absolutely no benefit at all? Well they did!

The new 3" Taipan exhaust gave me 5kw more power but a huge 34nm of torque and the turbo spools 500rpm earlier and without lagging.

And fuel averaged over the same 600km trip to be 2lt per 100 km better off

Highly recommend throwing away your factory exhaust the second you step out of the factory

its all about emissions and cost, but anything that makes them breathe better , it has to be good
Nice torque gain from just the exhaust
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
