Gee that wasn’t a bad ‘gut feeling’. Have only been there once ... late last year, when driving my bus up to NSW to deliver it to it’s new owner. Saw Bastion Point from a distance when a friend, a Mallacoota resident, was giving me a bit of a tour. I rather liked Mallacoota.

Amy's family went there last year and I saw the photos and remember there being a bush pub called the Hilton...

On the opposite side of the road is a Pub and an old Cobb & Co Coach

Roofy has it, & yes you are correct Bob. If I remember correctly the pub & the ‘’Hilton Hotel’ across the road are the only two buildings between Boulia & Winton, about 150kms from each on the Kennedy Development Rd. The owner was a chopper pilot, his dad ran the pub & the pilot parked his chopper out the back & ‘commuted’ to work. He was just leaving to do some mustering on a station out Mt Isa way when we were there.
