The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Kris Is that hut not panted yet! The blueboard won't last long if not painted specially if its constantly getting wet.

Pissed off I missed it.. I spent the weekend in my ceiling, looks like an awesome spot and great turnout!

So here is some pics from me from over the weekend.

So Leah (Mrs AB) had an accident in Holbrook on the way over and stood on broken glass and needed to have it removed at the hospital.

Finally made it into camp on dusk and after 14 hours in the car was Knackered! Friday Night was pretty laid back and the guys gathers for a good night after the rain hit about 9pm scattering everyone to their beds.

    Was a good night

Kris is a Bloody legend! Everyone had their Own drop toilet installed anywhere they liked! worked a treat.

We went for a short drive on Saturday and i Navi'd for AB. got to check out his state of the art Stereo in the mighty GQ! Livin the dream is this guy!

In the afternoon we set up a couple of targets an had a shoot of the .22s which was enjoyed by quite a few. Kids got to have a bit of a go under strict supervision.

this was Zach's first 4 shots! Impressive really. He was stoked.

So Saturday afternoon the cookup was a go and everyone was getting ready. the meat was on and the fire was raging. someone forgot to let the weather man know though!! Holy Crap! Did it rain!

everyone gathered under the only realy shelter which was a 6x3 carport from Supercheap auto. Glad it was there! It got feral.

Rain it Did! unfortunately Kris had built the fantastic fire right in the middle of the natural water course! Funny!

So the Dutch Ovens where not gunna cook in that!!

A break in the weather and the guys gathered around the remnants of the fire for a beer. what more to do.

    It was Wet

Apparently water will burn if mixed with Petrol. Happy days Fire we had.

with all the rain the river that had been tranquil all day and the kids had been swimming quickly rose and flooded.

    Thats the swimming hole

Went for a bit of a Night drive to the other end of Kris's property to see the river there and the skid pan. Fair bit of water flowing.

Jonny went for a walk and when the cold water reached a certain level he opted out quick smart.

then crew a pair of bigger ones and found the deep part. Silly bugger! Bloody cold.

We drove through and had a play on the skid pan then drove back

When we came back over the river Jonno hit it a little hard

Sunday morning was Glorious. there was a real sense of community, people generally just milling about. a few bonnets up and George went all McGiver on Rossco's clutch.

In the afternoon every headed into Captains Flat to the Pub for a Counter Lunch. a few of the Lads got on their phones for the ftrst time and run a mock on the forum for a bit. Bloody spammers!!

    Trouble!

In the late arvo a few of the guys decided to take a leisurely drive and make some mud. Yes they winched, Yes they made a mess. They had fun though and Kris was in the thick of it.

On the way back the Peer Group Pressure got the better of me and i put Rufus into the skid pan for a play.

Then Bonnets up again and BA gave the TD some love.

Growler scored a free roof rack off Kris but had to fit it up to get it home. Needless to say it looked ridiculous.

Matty saved the day and stripped it to pieces to fit in the car.

Thanks again to Kris and Fiona for hosting us all at your amazing property. Had a great weekend.

Great write up Dazz, except for the fireplace bit. It was on top of a hump and water is not suppose to flow up hill ....LOL

    LOTS OF RAIN GENTS!!!!!

Damage report from me is a busted steering dampner but they are a bit over rated anyways
Can't say the same for Kat and Steve, they have a huge panel beating bill, new bullbar, new light and the rest....bwahahah

I'm off to the coast now to enjoy another week with couple of hundred mm of rain and cold weather....I love this global warming crap!

Now I'm really sad I missed it. The back recovered enough on Monday to unpack the car, I was obviously feeling down as I spent the day hiding from the wife and kids so I didn't wind up taking the bad mood out on them.

I did completely remove and re do all the dodgy wiring I had added over the years. Looks good but doesn't make up for a missed weekend

Glad every body has fun. I had even packed a 5*3 awning which looks like it would have been useful.

    Cheers.
