What has made me happy today?
Fitting up the full set of Safebrake's braided lines, taking it for a test run and noticing a positive difference in the braking. Then comparing it to a mates Patrol and stopping a whole lot quicker than him as well, and he was driving an unladen ute. :-)
Also finished dicking around with my Engine Watchdog and am starting to get a better feel for the running temps of both engine and transmission. Yes, too much info can be painful, but one you've got a feel for it, knowing your truck is just that much more enjoyable. Work in progress there of course... wouldn't want to talk myself out of the next mod.
Between Patrols ATM. Had a beaut GU with 6.5 Chev TD. Next is a GU ute with a 4.5 litre Cummins conversion and a camper on the back.
Clunk (23rd January 2015), Gecko17 (24th January 2015), MEGOMONSTER (23rd January 2015), Stropp (24th January 2015), threedogs (24th January 2015)
10 more minutes and I'm all done at work.......... for the weekend anyway
threedogs (24th January 2015)
2006 Ser IV GU, 6.5l TD V8 Chev with 4spd Auto, 3in Lift, 35in Kumho's, 12000lb winch, Nissan snorkel, Diff breathers, lightbar + Lightforce HD spots on roofrack. Built to go bush.
They certainly look like quality brake lines, I'm impressed!
Hard to say what difference the full flush and new Dot 4 brake fluid made to the equation, or whether new rubber brake lines would also have felt the same, but I'm a happy camper with the mod.

New bump stops as well?
Yep, one of them anyway as it was shagged. Put 15mm spacers in the front coils, and the wrap on the bottom too. Was getting an annoying clunk, but that is fixed too.
