Spent the last hour or so reading through this, looks amazing. Love to hear the on/off road noise difference between yours and mine.
What did you use on the underframe (diffs etc) as a paint, would love to give the underside of the Maverick a nice clean up.

Hey jimmy. The majority of the underside is done in por15, but the front diff I did using poly paint in a pressure pack. The por15 is the best paint I've ever used personally, especially for under vehicle applications.
Modified a twin au thermo fan so it would suit the patrol radiator perfectly. Luckily I had a spare radiator lying around to use as a template. Have got the shroud fitted up nicely and sealed it all up with sikaflex.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Yeah, reading about POR15 I might use it for the diffs as well.
Can you buy it easily in Aus? Can't say I've ever come across it.

This is how it came Nissangq, the height is a perfect fit into the patrol radiator. Only problem is the sides are open and exposed. But some plastic, bolts and brackets made it a perfect fit.
The carpet I got from Bunnings.
Jimmy, you won't find it at Bunnings, sometimes the smaller hardware stores stock it. Failing that, you can buy it on eBay.

I take it you don't have issues even without a shroud?

I have a partial shroud in place, I just modified the the original one as best I could at the time and never got back around to doing a better job of it, by memory it normally sits just under half but on stinking hot days or in stop start traffic it struggles to keep cool

Well I got it installed today and it's a bloody tight fit. At one stage I was going to throw it all in the bin and stay with the clutch but with some calm thoughts and I got it in and all wired up.
Without the clutch fan, it's amazing how quiet the engine actually is. I could sit in the cabin and almost forget that the engine is on.
When it's running, the temps drop right down to 81. I'm impressed so far.
