Rewiring diff lock in GU9 to allow use in high range?

    Hi all,

Has anyone on here attempted rewiring the rear diff lock on their GU8 or GU9 so that it functions like in the earlier models (allowing use in high range and no alarm sounding at >20km/h)? Is this something an auto sparky would be able to work out without a wiring diagram or is there somewhere that I can get a wiring diagram for the GU9 from?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

    Matt

In the older GUs the diff lock is controller via a module. Where does the alarm sound from? The cluster? If so Nissan have may have moved the diff lock module functionality into the cluster which will make it difficult to modify the diff lock functions.

See if you can track down the wiring diagrams for Oz Patrols & Gulf Patrols.
Then look for a difference - Gulf spec Diff locks work in 4 High.

Bulbous, do you have any suggestions on where I could possibly find a Gulf spec CRD wiring diagram?

So is it just a case of cutting one or both of these wires?? You wouldn't happen to have a wiring diagram would you?

    Cheers,

    Matt

That's going to be difficult. I'm pretty sure that no such animal ever existed. You'll be stuck with petrols I'm afraid. TB42, 45 & 48 are all that they sell here
