    GU rod end doesn't fit

Can anybody tell me if GU's had more than one size of rod end on the tie rod.
Purchased a set of road safe rod ends (left and right) but I can't get it to screw on.
I was wondering if the thread changed throughout the model's

I had the same problem Gary, drove me Nuts for a good hour! Thought I was going nuts. I was trying to swap the GU rod ends onto the GQ Superior Tie rod I had when I did the diff swap. I ended up buying a whole new one. Bought a Roadsafe complete rod though mate.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I have just taken the rod end off my road safe drag link to check and it appears that even though they both have 1.5mm pitch thread and are 29 mm the angle the thread is cut at is different!
So either my GU tie rod isn't a GU or mr nissan does things different to the aftermarket.
