    after welding without a welding helmet he's probably blind and no longer able to operate a key board . IMO , very stupid.

    Once while I was welding a floor pan repair panel into an old car I got too close with the rod when checking to see where I needed to weld next whilst the welding visor was up, was only a momentary flash, but bugger me it was bright! I had a flare in my vision for about 4 days. I can't imagine how bad that must have been actually welding for any length of time!
