I'm a slack bugger, after living in the desert for many years, I missed it. Spent one night debating over which three. Then work got the better of me this last week - just though of it now. ha ha. I'll stick some votes in though!
Thanks, Cameron

The votes are in & we have a runaway winner with what is not only a photo of sand but also a stunning portrayal of friendship. I suspect it was the combination of rich colours & a picture which tells the viewer a story which garnered 24 votes. Congratulations to TPC.
In joint second place with 17 votes each are Bulbous with a great action shot & Fracster with an atmospheric shot.
And in joint 3rd place with 15 votes each are TPC again with ‘Patterns in the sand’ made by artistic crabs & another action shot from Bulbous
Congratulations to all.
TPC will decide the topic for our December competition. Please let me know TPC, although the new comp may be a little delayed because it may have to wait until I return from the Bearii trip.

Cool, awesome choice. Is the sand really that colour?
We have red sand here as well, but it's not that red.
Fracster, your pic is beautiful, everything awesome about the desert in one pic , I can see a great line to drive there.

..........
The sand in the Simpson really does get that red, it changes colour from one side to the other.
A friend collected sand in multiple places as he crossed the desert and layered it in a glass jar and the difference in colour is amazing.

us poms are crap at cricket
Taken in the UAE, out in the sticks. The angle of the sun and the shadows make the colours what they are mate.
