Ah, Ok. Thanks. I had one of them on my Hilux.

Hi Rocket, your Patrol is looking good. What type of headrest screens did you get? Did you put them on the genuine headrest or are they an aftermarket kit?
Cheers
Brad
2005 GU IV 3L ST-S Mods: 3in Zorst, chipped, Autron egt, boost and dual voltage gauges, pillar pod, dual battery, IPF round spoties, Nissan alloy Bullbar.
They are a full aftermarket Zylux 7" system. Cost about $500 about 2 years ago. Good enough for the kids.
Cheers Rod

It sure is. From what I've reasearched and what I can see, Patrols actually don't have an earth that goes between the two. The only wiring between the two is the wiring for the sub tank transfer pump. So if you start earthing spot lights, winches etc. to the bullbar, ie the chassis. It finds its way back through the fuel pump wiring which quickly creates havoc with its operation. Other symptoms that people have reported is bad radio reception and central locking not working. There are others but I can't remember now. Basically if you have some wierd electrical stuff happening, whack an earth in and in a lot of cases most of it will go away.

Yes, extra earths from body to chassis are a good idea. The more the merrier!
Bit of an update.
Over the last few weeks I've been working on a Provent 200 catch can install. Can't rush these things. It kinda needed it though
With a 2nd battery and ABS, there's not a lot of room left for the can, so it has to sit above the ABS unit in this hole
Using an existing hole in the firewall and a stud on the plate behind the 2nd battery I made up a bracket
Installed the can and plumbed it up.
1/2" hose from rocker cover to 1/2" to 1" adaptor then 1" to top port of the can.
5/8" hose from intake to 5/8" to 1" adaptor then to bottom port on can.
12 or 13mm clear hose from bottom of can down through the guard with a Bunnings tap on the end.
Final assembly

While I was in the fixing mood, I added a dual USB plug in the centre cubby hole to charge the iPad whilst off road. Works a treat and keeps all the cords tidy and not dangling down all over the place (one of my pet hates)
Also threw some ports in the back of the centre console to keep the kids happy
