Just got home after going for a shoot with Erica. ..

Bloody big fox stuck its head out marking its territory but I missed. .. blah.

It was good getting out for 5 hours and forgetting all my troubles.

Thats my 10 year old Erica.... she had a ball today and loves her new toy.

Managed to get 4 rounds through my .243 and Georges .223 while doing one shot one clean... the property owners wife works in airlines so the larger caliber had to fall quiet at 1pm otherwise I would have hoped to have them both run in properly...

Just spent the last hour cleaning 3 rifles.... fwark I hate this part of it !!!!

Nice one Jonathan. So when I get my rifles I need to bed them in with a 1 shot 1 clean regime? For how many cleans in a row?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Obviously clean after each shoot but not sure what to do when brand new?

You need to clean before you even fire your first shot... On my .204 I did one shot cleans for 10 rounds then 3 shot cleans till I got to 20 then when for it after that.

The owner of Gun Emporium told me just to do one shot cleans for 10 rounds then go for it....?

Lots of people have differing opinions of this subject but I must say my .204 is an awesome shooter and so so accurate.

Oh and I hate breaking in new guns, really hate it!!

I use the same breaking in method now I only clean them after range days and maybe every 5 hunting trips as most of the time you shoot nothing or 1/5 rounds a trip. I always oil though to stop rust in storage plus use those silica bags to stop moisture
