    Slipping clutch in 5th ?

    Quick quiz - any one had an issue of an aparent slipping clutch when in 5th and generally ok in other gears ? We've got it out and generAlly doesn't look too bad any comments ?

    It will be down in clamping force combined with worn plate. Slips in 5th because that is when it is dealing with the most load.

    Mine first started slipping in 5th, then over the period of a month or two it started doing it in 4th. Car was still OK to drive, but slipped when you put your foot down.
    When it started doing it in 3rd - I changed the clutch.
    Treat it as a warning. If you've got it all apart anyway you might as well replace it.
