Yep, me and AB both used the same bloke in Bayswater. Couldn't recommend him highly enough, did an awesome job and very cheap. Mine needed pretty much everything new on the engine bay side of things, works great now.

The problem with the GQ air con is they were a dealer fitted option, not a factory item, so there are sooo many different fittings out there. Just easiest to take it to the professionals and they will get it sorted. You'll need them to gas it anyway. Let us know if you want the name of this bloke. Probably a good idea to get in soon,, they get pretty busy once the weather warms up!!

By the way the car is looking very good

On Saturday I drove up to Matfews place in Gisborne and many of you might know that its is a long up hill trip heading that way and the car ran well but noticed it blowing lots of smoke on the real steep sections.

On any level bits of road I did not notice smoke at all.

When I got to Gisborne I happened across Matty heading home so got him to follow me and he said it blew as much smoke as Kallens rig (in other words a lot) and it was nothing to worry about and being I was putting a turbo on not to bother with adjustment.

Only the day before I got a bend made up for the end of the exhaust as it was blowing soot onto the rear bar and it was covering the back door, this helped this problem perfectly but I thought it was funny that just from one trip up the freeway the tail pipe had changed colour to a technicolour dream... it got that hot.

When I got to Matty's we loaded all my gear into his car and took that for our shooting trip and even though his is a basic set up with no intercooler it felt so nice.

Sean drove that night and his car is an NA and I should have asked him how it felt in comparison.

When we got back to Matty's place I loaded all my gear back into my car and set off with just about the whole drive down hill back to Melbourne.... it was a perfect drive (except for needing wheel balance) and the weather made it all the better.

I love having my car back !!!!!!!!

Matts car felt much nicer, it has better gear in general like suspension.

As far as the turbo it was much more responsive not much chugging, the turbo spools up quickly and the throttle always felt more responsive. A big difference in 4 Low.

If you remember the hill climb after the first paddock that has always been in my mind a place where I was curious as to how a turbo would effect the climb. In my n/a td42 I always end up in second, in Matts we went back to second but much later and if I had been more aggressive at the bottom perhaps we might have made it in 3rd.
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

Yeah the more I drive it the better it seems to feel.. Still needs valves adjusted hot.

Been thinking when I can afford it and if I can find a good set but Nissan X-Trail T31 seats are so comfy and are narrow so I think should fit well in a GQ.

When driving back from Pambula Beach I stopped for a total of 15min and felt it was no trouble driving more than 7 hours sitting in those seats.
