Found a Gil Hibben Expendable bowie with 2000 layer Damascus and a Toothpick for $125 and $100.
I think $100 posted for the toothpick is a good deal.
Not sure if I really need another huge Bowie ATM lol

@ OD why do you think they use the Tanto stlye for most "good" survival knives.?
The Japanese must know something, I personally think its just stronger and harder to break the tip off.

Tbh I am not 100% sure. Yes the tip is stronger but not reeaally suitable for any fine work like close skinning etc.

A lot of them are more for show, personally I prefer more of a strong drop / clip point blade myself as they are more versatile.

Wouldn't mind a toothpick myself but its more trying to gett wifey to let me have 1 as I keep getting in the crap for buying more knives lol.

Working on another sheath at the moment and trying to put some silver dye through some groove work I have done, not coming up as well I had hoped.

The silver is crap and flakes. Would be good watered down to give a flecked appearance but thats about it.

I'll post over some Elk ridge sheaths soon for you to re-stitch if you could please.
There are 3 I think only small but first time I pulled out the knife it broke the stitching.

Yeah TBH I think they use one shape for a number of different knife shapes

Just had my new bottles of different coloured leather dye deliverdd. Just need to expeirment with them and see what sort of results I get.
Still need to get a 1L bottle on USMC Black for any deep black dyeing I need to do, had a bottle of transparent black delivered which I ordered by mistake but will use it back ground colouring
