Hello guys
I will be welding lugs on to my bull bar for my light bar and was woundering if there is any thing I have to do before welding to protect computer or other electric compontents in my patrol.

Not real sure but I think that you have to disconnect the batteries mate, hopefully someone here will confirm this
That's pretty much all I've done in the past with no issues but I would like to know if there is anything else also.
Have the earth lead as close as possible to where you are welding, after disconnecting the batteries as said before.

I know some people use a set of jumper leads that have the little surge protector box inline and attach that to the battery instead of disconecting but all I've ever done is disconect earth and never had a probem with mig and stick.

Air out the tyres is a gee up! Earth close grind paint off keep it clean and disconnect the batteries. Also cover all your paint work near by to protect from splatter
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant,
'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honour.
