All good, Timbar came round so hd a look at his, low mount just bolts onto the front of the bar using those 4 bolt holes.

Ordered the kits for the highmount rebuild.

With the help of Dazz aka mr winch man he has convinced me to get some added goodies so this will be one nifty little winch once done!!!

I'm contemplating putting a scoop on and even possibly throwing a few washers on the back of the bonnet hinge to help out.

Taking the thermo out and a giant ic in front has only "slightly" changed water temps. Nothing to be overly concerned about but still a concern for me.

I know I know, I need to get a proper gauge but I did notice towing the camper on the weekend the needle got to half way, even whisker over on those long hills to gisborne which is still ok in operating temps but the usual paranoid AB sets it in. Never had that pre ic towing.

    Summer concerns me...

Will a scoop and raising the rear bonnet help?

    Any other ideas?

Car is fine without towing, just want to make sure I can have it sorted for the next touring adventure towing the camper up north, etc...

    Any suggestions appreciated!!!

Half way is nothing, you still have to put a highmount in front too. That made my water temp rise slightly on the long hills
