When your looking at a picture in google drive, right click it and press copy link location, does that give you a direct link to the image?
Can you show me a link to a drive photo?

Just right click on the photo and select "Copy Image URL"
When you "Insert Image" "From URL" right click and paste
UNTICK "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" then select OK

I have to click "open" when i'm in the viewer mode, then I get the option to copy image url.
