Upon reading these articles, I would have to agree with the proposal on size limit only, as they do taste best in this size range, however the taking of one fish at these sizes I do not agree with.

Went for a fish at Queencliff this morning and did really well on the squid, using Shimano Egixile keimura jigs

No Reddies at all, this is a sunset shot I took when we were there in June I think.
We only got one reddies caught by a 9 year old on lures.

Not quite right it used to 500mm then they put it up to 550mm then 600mm to 650 mm now so its up again to 700mm doesn't surprise me .
the average size caught is 500mm to 600mm all throw backs, They are not worth eating at 700mm IMO the best size is 500 ish

No John, they want to change the slot limit from what it is now, which is minimum 600mm to maximum 1000mm.
And change it to minimum 500mm to maximum 700mm.
Which fits right into perfect eating sizes.
Also the minimum has never been 650mm only 600mm

In some news about the cod limits, I have heard that DPINSW AND DPIVIC will be both having the same rules across the board.
I have also heard that in rivers they want to allow only one keeper but in lakes two keepers, but is unconfirmed.
