2014 GU Seat Airbag light flashing

I installed a stereo with an Amp under the passenger seat and obviously removed the seat. i did quite a bit of testing and pumped it up a few times during the day, I eventually started the car to charge the battery a bit, Ive read this action may cause the airbag sensor to flash. ive read up on several Nissan vehicles to try and find a remedy, such as turn ignition power on then off wait 5 seconds repeat etc etc, also read one where i need to turn ign on press drivers door lock button 5 times etc etc.

No luck....bugger

Does anyone know how to do this reset, or do I need to get Nissan to do it for me. $

Not sure mate but it might pay to disconnect the battery for a few hours to reset the ECU maybe. I usually turn my lights on with battery disconnected to make sure everything discharges/resets properly...thats just me tho

Thanks my third 256, I followed the suggestion re the below Nissan 350Z airbag reset on you tube and it worked. But i still recommend people to view your link ( incase they havent) as there are several scenarios relating to causes of a flashing airbag light.

Also just to let you know i rang 2 Nissan Dealers in my area and was quoted $41 & $45 for them to reset it, not bad considering what we used to pay. I also asked what the correct procedure was for removing the seats without setting it off again, the advice was

Disconnect the battery, disconnect the plug and remove the seat. Once finished replace the seat, connect the plug "BEFORE" reconnecting the battery.

When we installed an ARB twin compressor under the drivers seat we had to remove it.
After we were finished we put the seat back in and plugged the air bag back in.
Fault light was on the dash. I had one of those OBDII scanners that you use wirelessly with the iphone and it couldn't detect the faults to clear them. We plugged in the proper scan tool (mates a mechanic and we were in the workshop), and three faults relating to the airbag were registered. Cleared the fault. No dramas.
