The x7 is a perfect size and weight for splitting kindling at home but its light enough to throw in the back of the car when you go away, same goes for the x25 even tho the x25 is for soft to medium density wood pretty much for damp or wood thats still a bit green. Thats why i bought the 8lb splitter for hard wood like redgum, yellow and grey box coz my old splitter which are 2-3lbs which bounced off if i didn't put my whole weight behind it lol

    This is my new splitter

Sorry but IMO a Fiskar will out split that splitter 3 to 1 Fiskar are awesome for the job at hand with little imput
Plus you can use as an axe as well, Most here would prefer to split redgum with a fiskar.
I brought the Saxon splitter years ago and it now sits idle,
must admit it did struggle on the yellow box up Tallarook one weekend but we just took smaller bites

Lol the other side of my Hart splitter is a sledge hammer so if the piece is too big or knotted up i can drive my wedge splitter thru it hahaa, can't do that with the Fiskers lol!

Went out and got a X7 and started splitting oregon and the edge is showing fatigue and has busted thru the ptfe coating, is that normal ??

OD's broke cutting kindling, and no you can't use a Fiskar as a sledge hammer.
If the log has a knot Ill bring out the chain saw and block it out to a more manageable size.

Looks like the x7 isn't as good as we thought.

New knife came in today, don't mind this 1 at all. Nice and sharp and a pretty good sheath as well, could be a bit tighter.

Dang nabbit, need to use the other app

Must admit the sheath could be better on that skinner, its falls out everytime
but just figured a way of displaying them so leave it with me.

Bummer on the X7 I didn't like it the first time I picked it up
no weight to it whats so ever, the X17 and X25 suit my needs perfectly
one for home the other for camp
