In Australia the "S" in the body code referred to safety pack. This was an option for dual air bags (SRS) and anti locking brakes (ABS) in the earlier Y61s before they became standard.

Does your vehicle have these fitted?

My 4.5L never had a "E", unless the previous owner removed it ?

One things for sure, it does not stand for fuel "Economy" (hahahha)

4x4 means the vehicle has a total of 4 wheels, and it also has 4 wheels that can be driven by the engine ,4 times 4 (4x4)

a 4x2 vehicle has 4 wheels total, and only 2 wheels can be driven by the engine 4x2 , this is the normal configuration, so rarely will any 4x2 vehicles have any badge to advertise this.
