Jeez Daz, hope it ends quickly with little or no pain. I'm still cringing after reading it.
Good luck mate, I really hope the Simo trip will still be a goer, after all the prep you've probably done.

Hope you get well enough Daz to go on your trip. It will be the biggest bummer if you are delayed, or can't go.
As for me I have been feeling ill in the guts since last Thursday night. Sharp pains in the top of my stomach like you wouldn't believe. I eventually dragged myself to the 24hr habbib "rent a doc" shop on Saturday and he just fobbed it off as indigestion. Told me to take some Nexium and I'll be right. Right now I still feel shite and after speaking with my dad who has stomach ulcers I reckon thats what it is. Symptoms are identical to his but I'm no doc so I just have to wait a few more days to see if the Nexium helps. Been swigging on Mylanta too but now thats giving my the trots to make things worse, but it does ease the pain a little.
never self diagnose and never take too much Mylanta or similar.
You have just had a huge weekend haven't you,, see your doc for some Xrays or get a gastroscope done don't guess
Having the runs will dehydrate you big time M2cW

Well I can only self diagnose to a point. The doc just told me to take "this" and signed me off and I have barely sat down. My big weekend was the start of last week. Was feeling great up until Thursday. It felt like he was just trying to push the patients through to get more money. Thats a reason why I hate going to those clinics. More patients equals more money.
I am only taking the maximum dosage of Mylanta too and I only had a gastroscope not long ago aswell...Will have to ride this out I reckon, as I am working all this week, plus the weekend and all of next week and I have no time to take off. Plus I need to get my backyard in order before the wifes 40th next month!!!!
Anyhow, just needed to vent a little as it always happens, when I get busy with work, other shite happens.
.......So I had an attack about 4 weeks ago .......
I agree with the comments that you sort it out before deciding to continue with your trip. Misses works for the Flying Docs, and I have to make my own dinner when she is out saving people. Seriously, the amount of people who need help and could have prevented it with some common sense is amazing! Not saying you are in this category of course, just annoying that the gene pool is kept impure by saving the very stupid.......

G'day mate, yeah I'm not that guy mate. When I had the attack 4 weeks ago I immediately knew what was going on and drove Gaelic to the Emergency Department just in time for a full Attack in the waiting room. 10/10 pain, straight in, I ate nothing and expected that they would operate. Happy days, get it out and recover before my trip.
They ht me hard with Morphine in the arm and a depositary up the backside. I had a CT and Ultra Sound then and there and as predicted the pain subsided as things relax. So after 3 hours on the bed and sh1t loads of pain killers my pain went from 10/10 to Nothing. The CT scan presented a 6mm stone so they determined I'd be able to pass that without help and gave me a prescription for as done and my own pack of depositories that I could stick up my own ass if the pain got too much!
I had another CT scan last Wednesday and bloods and an Ultrsound on Friday. Very conscious of my trip and hopeful it would either pass, sit back or be operated prior. Damn it.
At the end of the day they reckon a 6mm stone can pass and the pain can be managed while it happens. This new attack is the other side and the blood is significant. I spoke to the Jrologist Nurse this morning and she advised I should present to Emergency today.
She also advised that my CT sca showed 2 small stones on the left that I may now be passing also. Damn it. She said it was not indicated what size they are which suggests they are smaller.
Either way it's sh1t.
Sitting in Emergency now with a bottle of piss I just produced waited for the doc.
If I can pass them then some pain relief and piece of mind (which is the most important bit) and I'm on my way.

Hi MR, you have given me the shivers just thinking about what you have /are going through!
Best of luck getting through this, wife knows to give Patrol owners priority.
Dont get too carried away with the depositaries (not that there is anything wrong with that!) and wash your hands before eating, otherwise everything will taste like sh!t
Cheers mate, hang tough!
