Should be 40psi. Doesn't seem like a big difference but mine used to be 36psi also. When I changed the pump it jumped up to 40 and made a big difference to how it ran.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.
So with the vacuum line off there should be no fuel coming out of the reg?>??? is this correct???
I actually thought it was supposed to be 40psi and stated so but edited my post as I thought how can 4 psi make a difference??
That's correct. No fuel should come out. There are some YouTube videos of blokes testing their regulators.

Hate to burst your bubble but like i said if it was at 229kp@12v ( about 40 psi) like its meant to be, your economy would be worse. Theres something there that i can't put my finger on, get it dynoed see what they say
But if it's a dodgy regulator leaking petrol into the intake, that's not going to help economy...

I just sliced my finger open like a bitch..... might need stitches.. !!!!! fwark..
With the vacuum line removed fuel was pissing out..????
There's your problem. New regulator is needed.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Just googled it and my mistake.... cut myself open for nothing... I going to get my gun!!!!!
