Camping spot of the week - king hut camping area

The King Hut has unfortunately been burnt down but there are some great spots to Camp .
Situated 35km east of Mt Stirling on the King Basin Road.
Access via Speculation Road off Circuit Road.
Gets crowded on Holidays but is a great spot to Camp at other times.
Some good 4wd trips around this area and the Fishing is great.
With care a small camper caravan & Camping Trailer can be taken in.
Toilet provided

think i will be heading thru here at easter, plan on starting at Mansfield, thru King Valley, up to Abbeyard, down to Wonnangatta, up Zeka and back to either Jamieson or Mansfield via Brocks road

I would love to see some photos of Wonnangatta mate, especially the Widow Maker and graveyard.....Cheers!

I nearly died there on the way down to the valley about 20 years ago with my old man from a winch recovery accident.

I'll see if I can dig up some photos from previous trips, been in about 5 times in last 10 years.

actuall y saw some idiots going up the widow maker on my 1st trip, lucky for them they came back down before coming to harm.
