Next item on the mod list is a winch!!
So what are people running and what do they recommend?
I am seriously considering a Runva 11XP http://www.runvawinch.com.au/winches/4wd-electric/11xp/
They look the goods, have heard good things and are well priced.

I run with Runva EWX12000 with rope. I have only run it a couple of times and am impressed. It's not the fastest but I was pulling the Trol out of a mud pit for about 15 mins of almost non stop winching and it barely got warm. Others on this trip were also impressed at the job it did and not even hot to touch. image-1422130194.jpg Yes I know it has cable, but it is rope now. 04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
Below is my winch, the motor heats up pretty quick, it is beer cooled.

I I was looking for a winch for the front of my GUIV I'd fit that Runva in a heart beat. My number one choice in this price bracket. Or spend the large on a Warn XP9.5 but they are $2,400.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
When I get a bar to put it on I'll get a runva for sure

Don't have an actual pic on the car but this is what I have. Used it once to pull a decent log out of the way, thats about it. Haven't had the car hanging off it yet.

Something like this wouldn't be all bad. It's not the one I was looking for but its 4 motor high mount. The one I was looking for is basically 2 twin motored high mounts joined end to end with a custom 600mm drum it was a monster.
