    Cool

    Loosen your fan belt and spin the alternator, and water pump by hand, and you might be able to hear if it is the bearing. I got muddy water in the alternator last year, so I replaced the bearing, but repacked the new one with Innox Mx 8 marine grade, high speed, high temp and high pressure grease. Haven't had any problems so far.



    EDIT: Mx 8 not LM 8 grease.
