I'm keen to do rig rd, waa line, k1 line and French line etc
What's everybody's thoughts

I am laid up a couple of weeks now and will spend a bit of time with the map I reckon. Keen for some side tracks for sure. I think we can maybe have a bit of a chat about it at Daulhousie too but a suggested route will work.
The tracks could be getting quite busy so a diversion route could be much better for us.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Just thinking would be good to know if going to take the extra side tracks etc. so people can work out fuel needs before getting to Dalhousie.
As I guess we would need a lot more fuel than just the French line. Which I think is the most talked about fuel consumption needs. Correct me if I'm wrong

Grabbed this quote from a few pages back.
Yep would be good for everyone to consider a little extra for sure, most have twin tanks and a decent capacity but maybe an extra jerry each could give us a little flexibility.
Hey how is your car man? Last time I saw it it was on a tow truck

Just had a quick look at my desert maps.
It says 507km from mount dare to birdsville via French line and qaa line. Ie the most direct route
Will have a look at other routes and see how far it is

Just confirming that cooked veges are ok?
Planning on cooking up and freezing some lasagne and stir fry's and freezing?
Another ignorant AB question as well...
I'm assuming no one is bringing their own wood? What's the plan with wood, are we just chipping in for servo bags somewhere up there or???
I reckon every car should buy a bag of servo wood and put it on the roof. If every car had a bag we should have a great fire every night. Wood in the desert will be scarce.

As prev asked...
Where are we meeting/camping, Dalhousie or 3 O'clock
Dalhousie will be busy as buggery... are we going to try and scam spots there or go to 3 O'clock?

Well, I've got about 90% of my truck build sorted so I'll hopefully start on my Camper tomorra...
