Pulled the radiator out and am waiting to take it to a mate's place. He repairs radiators for a living. He reckons the Patrol bodies flex better than the Yotas, so fair better on corrugations and stuff. As a trade off, the solder can split. I actually liked the top radiator mounts on my 4wd Corolla, (Gasp...blasphemy). They let the radiator move more freely, so I am thinking about making a similar system for the Old Trol.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
what style are you repairing all alloy or have you a copper and brass number.
what does your mate recommend?

B/C, TD. I've trusted B/C for 30 odd years and they can be fixed easier. I reckon the jury is still out on whether alloy is worth swapping to.

Seems to be the go for longevity, as all alloy to me is so over priced IMO
Rubber mounting it somehow has to help too.
Think Winnie got one that didn't break the bank,
how was the fan??

The fan is just starting to show its age. I will keep an eye on it an put it on the to do list.
