Must get one of these.
@ George gotta have a knife roll, just makes things easier. I just made a knife case[ aluminium] it houses my Mundial
camp knives and basically any cutlery related items for around camp.
If I just need the knives I have a canvas roll for them and the steel
heres a pic of the Browning skinner

Yeah It used to house all cups plates etc. All I did was cut hi-density foam to shape and contact cement it into position.
This needs more work done , holds 4x Mundial plus one of my steels so happy.
Below is just to show George how the redgum wiggly grain looks plus some hand made numbers with different scales.
Bone would be my favourite for scales
EDIT:: Plus the case is square and anything square packs better

Do you think the decorative notch on the blade is functional like the "Spanish Notch on the Bowie
A type of blade catcher? brought this one couldn't help myself lol

That's crap with the proposed laws in QLD, it will target everyone now including tourists.
There is a mob in the US called "Knife Rights" who actively petition against draconian laws such as these, pity they aren't here as this will have a national flow on affect if it is passed.
No idea on the notch on the kukhri, Gecko would be best to answer that query.
This was the set I mentioned awhile back with inter-changeable blades, just bought a set to go in my pack.

That knife ruling is from 2011 I think but surely would have heard some thing.
My mates that are police say if you can justify carrying it its legal.
Like carrying a baseball bat at 10 o'clock at night a bit iffy, but if going up the Murray for a fish and camp I wear mine.
Someone will know more.
My revolving torch pouch arrives perfect for my P7 led Lenser
Nice kit btw how secure are the blades??
Edit rearranged my case a bit more but basically anything to do with eating and cooking will be in this case.
Also made a stake with a few prongs off it to keep frypans , gloves, tongs etc in one place and not in the dirt

Got my pocket knifes today lol

Top one needs to be sharper where i the cutting edge turns i think and its pretty heavy too.
Middle one has a spring loaded blade, is that even legal ???
Bottom, great blade from browning i'll see how long it takes before i need to sharpen it.
So i got to use the field dress kit yesterday, the small knife i didn't use coz its too small and to me i'd probably use it more as a general knife for eating and preparing food. The skinner with the gut hook is no good for goats but it'll be better on pigs and deer, the gut hook tore right thru everything with ease but i pierced the stomach ( poh! What a smell lol) but i think i might have held it on the wrong angle?? Dunno... I did find that the skinner needed a fine sharpen tho coz it didn't cut how i expected it to unless i got used to how the DR's were cutting. Now i need to find a pig to try it on hahaha
Nice trio you get spring assisted and I get 2 leatherman confiscated.
I would think goat skin would be very fine not thick like a sheep
Oh well keep buying till you find one you like lol
I think the guy next door has Winchester guthook knife nice weight to it.
That middle one can stay in your centre console, as a general purpose number
Gotta love a tanto blade.
Quick poll which one
