Hey Guys

I haven't had my Patrol for long, and I'm still new to the whole diesel thing too.
The car came with ECUtalk already fitted by the previous owner. I cant work out what some of the readings are........

Top line of display : Speed(kph), RPM, Battery Voltage
2nd line of display : Engine Temp, Fuel Temp?, Turbo/manifold pressure
3rd line of display : ICV (no idea?), ambient air pressure?, ???
4th line of display : AFM voltage, Throttle position sensor

Any help appreciated. ICV and whatever that 55%T values are particularly bugging me....

2nd line is fuel temp, ICV is Injector Control Valve duty cycle. Mine sits around 55% at idle which from what I have read is normal. Have a read up on injector duty cycles from dr google.

For ZD30 the most important ones are all of them.

XX°C is Coolant temp very useful as factory display gauge is useless,

Fuel Temperature (FT) very useful as VP44 likes to cook so over 65°-70°C should be a concern

XX,X psi is Turbo/manifold pressure is boost pressure

T% is VNT duty cycle solenoid position which controls how much the vanes in the turbo are open (useless if you have a needle valve)normally bounces between 19-55%

AFM is MAF aka airflow sensor, go over 3.99V bellow 3000 RPM you gotta get the limp mode it is perhaps useful when you play with MAF mods.

ICV% (Contrary to previous poster it is not for injector but Injection pump timing control valve)bellow 50% should be paid attention to especially if it keeps consistently bellow 30%, usually a sign of either air in the fuel or IP pump struggling to lift fuel which is bad news.

Throttle pedal % or Voltage.

XXXX hPA is atmospheric pressure

Basically all you are seeing is what ECU is getting and can be very helpful in case of trouble.

If you set up audible alarms for coolant temp ,engine speed etc it will save your arse one day.

very handy tool to have IMo
My ICVis about 75% normally,
boost is consistant with my pillar pod gauge
Also instructions say the green display is easier to read than the blue

hmm my ICV is at 30% at idle and gets to around 45-50% while driving. Does this indicate a problem? Maybe I'll change the fuel filters and see if that has an affect?

Thanks Rumcajs. Just got my ECUTalk and was trying to work a few of them out . Though mine displays FAN:On/OFF instead of Boost (not sure if that's switch-able, but have a boost gauge thankfully anyway).

Any suggestion on what alert to put on for Coolant Temp?

I have an alert for coolant set at 95°C. Reason why you have Fan on/off instead of boost is because GU2/3 ECUs don't support boost (MAP) sensor readout. Only from GU4 series onwards.
