    '98 Gu. Duel fuel
    20l/100kms (gas) towing tandem tralier with about 1.5 tonne of rust on trailer. or $45 to Melbourne and back, fully loaded both ways.

    TD42 with a blower at 11psi on 33" tyres, recovery gear second tank front and rear bars steps etc, in other words heavy around town 13.5L per 100klms. Best i have ever recorded is 12.6 around town. Going away in a few weekends will do a highway run see what it gets. Never really tried to get good economy out of it just drive it.

    Wow, this wont look good, but my 2.8 TDi is getting 10L per 100km on the highway since blocking the erg and adding the 2T to the oil
    newbe with a 98 GU 2.8Ti

    I thought as much. Not gonna try it on petrol though.. With only 30 litres I wouldnt get very far.

    I thought the Aux Tank was 35 Litres Capacity but I am not really sure as I am not game to run to empty due to requiring Petrol to start. I could be wrong.
    I have not tested Petrol Consumption but I might this weekend as I am going away on a trip.

    I don't use 2T on my CRD but if I "hypothetically" had the ERG blocked (as the the vehicle is under warranty stating that blocking EGR is a no-no) I would see a very pleasant improvement in my around town economy of 1.5 LPH down to around 10.5 ish from 12.0 ish.

    I am off on a camping trip weekend after next of 700 K's or so and looking very much forward to seeing the "hypothetical" results an EGR block would have when towing the Camper on EGR and LPH

    You could be right Bob, it's bugger all, anyway. I only get about 50km's out of it if I'm real gentle. ( which I'm not) I stop/start on fuel, just because I've always been taught to run gas cars on fuel time to time. Not sure if you need to.

    well ive had the first of the excuses from Nissan on my fuel (and it took a call from me i might add just over a month for a reply)
    they now claim its not to bad
    and that their tests are done for the govt ..........and get a load of this ....in a wind tunnel and thats how they come up with 10.7 klm / ltr
    what a load of horsesh#t
    i voiced my displeasure and am supposed to be getting a reply back
    i guess some time this century
