1989 GQ LWB Wagon, TB42 Petrol/LPG Auto. Bought Dec 2010
The size mentioned above are 32's
As for 16 inch rims no problem.. I run 265's and 285's...
ripper (1st April 2014)
265s are the OE size on GUs and GQs with STD 16' rims
265s return great economy which you'll find out after switching to 285s
Most here would run 285s or 305s
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
Chimo (1st April 2014)
I have the standard 15" rims and have 31 10.5 15 AT tyres that result in the speedometer being 5 or 6 kms slow at 100 110kms.
Given that 16" rims presumably result in a far greater range of HT tyres which I am thinking about as 98% of my running is on road with a bit of 2 tonne plus towing
1 what are the most reasonable choice in such tyres and
2 what is the speedo error likely to be?
Thanks in advance
Cheers

and PS 3 Anyone in shouting distance of the Gold Coast got anything I might need for sale? (preferably second hand)
10r 15s x 31 are smaller than STD so great acceleration, and high revs at hwy speeds
A set of 16" x 8 rims with some 265s would be back to STD, slightly less acceleration but lower revs at hwy speeds
at hwy speeds, 285s are about the same as a 33" but only 11.5 " wide, not sure if they would fit on a GQ with STD suspension.
With a 2" lift yes, check what off set is required , rim wise
