UPDATE TIME MOFOS!!!!
I'm getting my $43 lightbar...apparently.
"Hello,
Thank you for your reply,i am sorry for late as just coming back to work in the morning.
We totally understand your feeling, but item sold out too quickly by that low price,as we original don't have too many of this light in stock, and sent most of them to our Australia warehouse, now after we arranged some of the shipments from Chinese factory, here also out of stock, which the factory has been already starting to plan producing this item.which might take a little time around one month to produce out.
Would you mind waiting?
I am really really sorry for all the trouble caused and waiting for your reply
Best regards
Carcamworld2012"
This comes after sending them three messages last night calling there 'no more stock' email i crock of sh1t (in nicer words) and sending them a link to their other auctions for the exact same light bar apparently ex sydney (for $242 or something)
Does this mean I believe they're actually going to send it?
HELL NOOOOO!!!
I now think they're probably going using this bullsh1t story about waiting on the factory in china to 'produce more' then +15-21 days postage or whatever rubbish they'll claim to be to get past the 45 day limit of paypals claim dispute. humm... (i can hear the 'get smart' music playing in my head)
At any rate, this is the first positive email i've received from them, so am replying to it positively, see i have a nice streak, i'm not always a mean basted.
I have emailed back to say I will accept their offer of refund +15.
Not really interested in sending them broke.
Just received this from EBay OZ
"Hi Mick,
Thanks for contacting eBay about the email that you received from rcamworld2012 that their account was hacked.
I understand that you're worried since the seller wants to refund you instead of honouring the sale.
Mick, I commend you for contacting us to help you in this situation. We appreciate the time and the effort that you took in reporting the said seller and I know how worrisome this situation is for any members alike having to deal with sellers with such an inappropriate selling practices right in front of your computer.
We expect sellers to deliver a consistently high level of buyer satisfaction. When a buyer wins an item on eBay, the seller and buyer have entered a contract that both members are expected to honour. It is a seller's obligation to honour the sale and provide good service. Sellers who don't fulfill their obligations may be in breach of their contract.
I want to assure you that proper investigation and thorough monitoring will be done on the member’s account, and will sanction them after we confirm their violation. I understand how much you really wanted to know what actions we took against this member, however I am unable to share details of this action and the results of our investigation as we also want to keep your account's privacy secured.
We appreciate that you have taken the time to bring this to our attention. Let me assure you that we've looked into your complaint seriously.
Have a great day ahead of you and thank you for choosing eBay Mick. We also wish you success in your future transactions.
Sincerely,
Aria A.
I have also received a compensation amount of only 10dollars.
2 email sent, with slightly more aggressive tone to it. I await the reply.
Basically mixed two of your replies together to make one big aggressive stand.
See what happens.

Each to their own, but food for thought.
How much do you think they actually pay for these lightbars, they probably order one or two hundred at a time via alibaba or similar. I'd be really surprised if they're paying over the Chinese equivalent $120 AUD each delivered to an australian warehouse, assuming they even have one.
Assuming they do actually send a Lightbar, who knows if they actually will, they might be out of pocket ~$120 for the bar and ~$30 postage from china? so all up around $150? be a fair guess.
Now they have around the 10500 feedback in 27 months, so about 389 items a month.
if they're paying ~ 150 to get one of these bars to australia and they're selling them for $242 with free freight, that's a 38% GP minimum (remember some of the advertivments have the same bar for $400+. A pretty freaking healthy GP anyway. So lets say the average price of the total of item's they've sold has been $30, they've pocketed $11.50 of that $30 as profit. 11.50 X 389 = $4473 / month cleared. Above average australian wage, but well above average wage in china as its around $AUD7573 per year. Guessing the average australian makes $40,000/year, old mate in china is making the australian equilivant to $AUD 283,512 per year.
Of course none of this assumes there may be more then one person working for carscamsalehacker2012 or whatever he's called, and I took guesses on a fair amount of these figures, however I feel these average prices would be pretty accurate, so the final figure should only vary 10-20% at absolute most.
So like I said, each to their own and I have absolutly no issue with anyone getting their money back... Butttttt if you truly didn't want to hurt his GP, should have just taken your $43 back, not the extra $15 as well?

I would be very surprised if they are even making 10% GP on this really. It's such a flooded market and would be so cut throat... selling for $229 I wouldn't think they'd pay much less that $210 if any.
Not according to ebay's policies?
You don't have to accept a refund, once you commit to buy you have a contract with the seller, once the seller is paid he has an obligation to send goods that match the description.
Yes ebay can't physically force them to send anything, but if they don't ebay can stop them from selling, it's called a seller non-conformance.
But I do agree they don't have to add compensation, but they're doing that to sweeten the deal so they don't either have to; 1 send product, or 2 suffer the repercussions of ebay's wrath.
