I just got the refund it's only $40 I really don't see the point in fighting it, they know it was a muck up and are just trying to save their business like any of us would try to do..?

Yeah well some people like to push the boundaries of the eBay rules knowing that the seller has made a monumental mistake. Each to their own, don't bother me either way, If the seller didn't lie and just said "Sorry, we efféd up on the price" it would have been easier than saying their account was hacked. I knew it was to good to be true and just accepted the credit. If that were my store I would just live with the negative feedback some buyers would leave as anyone in their right mind would see why and look past it. As a business owner myself, I know how much this is going to hurt the seller.
Having said that. Good luck to anyone who is not accepting their bullchit and is actually get something out of it. Please do report back on what you got out of it though....![]()

Yes I have pondered my actions in this situation. I am a firm believer in responsibility.
I have also considered the information being fed to me by the other party involved. The following are a few examples of the information I have received.
"We regret to tell you that Ebay has sent an warning email to us last night that our account has been HACKED since Friday night"
"we could send the proof email from ebay to you,but as we are Chinese Seller, the email was sent from Hongkong ebay in Chinese, would you also need it?"
"We really want to ship the lights to you, but actually we only have few in stock in Australia warehouse"
"The factory can not ensure when the new light will be available"
"We are a honest and responsible seller".
"Responsible" and "Honest" their words, have they been? My formed opinion is no. So should a irresponsible and dishonest company be allowed to reneg on a contract easily? I think not.
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
