I finally took possession of the "Pink Lady" today. I also had to help out my father in law and tow his wrecked Hilux back to our property.

The Td42 performed well with the temp only moving on steep inclines. I will get the radiator rodded and new thermostat in the very near future.

I can also start to fit the parts i have acquired over the last few week, 2" springs, OME shocks, side steps (I will make some sliders soon), Ti front seats and console, I will leave the back DX seat for the time being as it folds down flat and the second battery.

I cant wait to start turning some spanners! Anyhow here is a pic i have titled it "As it Should be".

Had a busy day interior out in preparation for new seats and while its out a good clean along with some sound and heat proofing.

All in all it was in good nick under the vinyl the only real problem was the drivers seat turret which was severely cracked (I guess they missed it in the roady) and now broken, I have ordered a replacement.

There was also no bolts for side steps just grommets so i will put some bolts in. I was also contemplating running wire from front to back for later use.

Has anyone used insulation from clark rubber if so which product and would you recommend it?

Factory side steps on (I will eventually bend up some sliders). My lovely wife was also thrilled to be involved in the project as i roped her into doing the dynamat while i helped.
We ran out of dynamat so the rear wheel arches will be done when the fire wall is done.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

It's main duties will be shooting and touring with the family. We are lucky enough that it wont be a daily driver. We wont be going too crazy on it, it really is a very capable truck out of the box, just a few more mods and creature comforts.

you already have a LSD in the rear is that right, only need a 2 in lift and a winch.
then all your interior mods eg Ti stuff, window tint to help the aircon. and a turbo
    of course.
