    Zd30 belt tensioner torque value..

    Hello guys..ive recently replace my zd30 y61 belt tensioner..and i need to know how much torque range needed to tighten the tensioner nut..do i need to tighten it till the tensioner cant move ?

    value for the auto belt tensioner is 68-77 Nm
    the value for the auto belt tensioner bracket is 25-28 Nm
    04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

    I just put some nut lock on the thread and screwed it in tight. Hasn't come loose yet.

    mate told me once 1/4 drive for motor bikes, 3/8 for cars and 1/2 for 4x4 and 3/4 for trucks.
    not sure how right he was but seems right

    Well..i tighten it till the tensioner cant move at all..and i think im doing it wrong..it didnt even move when i push the belt..thats why im asking what torque value needed for it....

    I've double checked and they are the values
    04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

    Sorry I know this is a very old thread but I am having a problem understanding this.

    When you say "auto belt tensioner" I am presuming you mean the spring loaded Damper unit that attaches to the engine (68-77Nm)
    When you say "auto belt tensioner bracket" I am presuming you mean the bracket with the brass sleaved pivot bushing (25-28Nm)

    Is this correct?

    Sorry for being such a dope but I have seen other references ( https://www.patrol4x4.com/posts/2381034/) to tightening the "Pivo bolt" to 78Nm which doesn't make sense to me either but seems to be the opposite to your description.
